The "Stiftsweingut Frank Meyer" is located in the municipality of Klingenmünster (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. It has been run by Frank and Manuela Meyer since 1992. The historic wine cellar probably dates back to the 7th century and once belonged to a Benedictine monastery. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vines in the single vineyard Maria Magdalena (Klingenmünster). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau and Rieslaner, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Blauer Portugieser. In the vineyard, the harvest is reduced by up to 50 percent.

The hand-picked, healthy berries for the white wines are exposed to the lowest possible pressure. Through gentle processing, the fruit aromas typical of the variety are preserved. Some of the white wine grapes are whole bunch pressed, others are destemmed and subjected to a short maceration period. The fermentation of the white wines takes place in stainless steel tanks, the red wines go through the classic maceration. The red wines and part of the white wines are aged in large wooden barrels or in barriques for 18 to 36 months. The total volume of the wooden barrels, which range in size from 300 to 7,000 litres, is 55,000 litres. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines aged for up to three years are also produced.
