The white grape variety (also MT x TT 65/4) is a new variety between Müller-Thurgau x Tramín Cervený(Gewürztraminer). The crossbreeding took place in Slovakia in 1973. The plant variety protection was granted in 2004. The two new varieties Medea and Pálava were created with the same parents. The medium ripening vine is moderately resistant to various fungal diseases. It produces aromatic, extract-rich, rather low-acid white wines with a discreet muscatel tone, similar to Müller-Thurgau. It is grown in small quantities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In 2016, however, no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
