Millot-Foch

The red grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Leon Millot x Maréchal Foch, Synonyms are Blattner 85-1, Valentin Blattner 85-1 and VB 85-1. They are genes from Vitis riparia. Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done by the breeder and winery owner Valentin Blattner in Soyhières in the Switzerland, The early ripening vine is resistant to frost and generally against vine diseases such as fungal diseases, It produces dark-colored red wines with soft ones tannins and aromas of wild berries, cherries and pepper, It is only used by a few producers in the Swiss cantons law and train cultivated.
