Miniature bottles

miniature bottles (GB)

Small portion bottles (also mini-bottles, French mignonette) for mostly brandies, liqueurs, herbal bitters and many other spirits and alcoholic beverages of all kinds, more rarely also for dessert wines such as Madeira, sherry and the like. The volumes range from 0.01 litres, the most common size being 0.02 litres (as is the standard size of Underberg), to 0.04 and 0.05 litres and up to 0.10 litres (100 ml). These small bottles are mainly found in hotel minibars and are also highly sought-after collector's items worldwide. With the Vinitas system developed by Coravin, a standard 0.75-litre bottle can be divided into seven miniature bottles, allowing expensive wines to be marketed in small portions.
