The winery is located in the municipality of Weyher (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The family has been involved in viticulture for many generations, and today the winery is run by Rudi and Michael Möwes. The vineyards cover 8.5 hectares in the Altenforst (Burrweiler), Michelsberg (Weyher), Letten (Hainfeld), Rosengarten (Edesheim), and Rosengarten and Schlossberg (Rhodt) sites. They are 65% planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Scheurebe, Bacchus, Rieslaner and Gelber Muskateller, and 35% with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Portugieser and Dornfelder. The white wines are matured slowly and in a controlled manner in stainless steel tanks, the red wines in classic large wooden barrels and also in barriques after mash fermentation. In suitable years, an ice wine is also vinified. Fine brandies (wine, grape, yeast) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
