Mondeuse grise

The white grape variety (also Persagne Grise) comes from France, It is a color mutation of the red variety Mondeuse Noire, The variety was in in the 19th century Savoy in use. It was designed by the French ampelographer Victor Pulliat (1827-1896) at the end of the 19th century and was considered extinct. In 1950 it was made by the ampelographer Pierre Galet (1921-2019) in the University's grape variety herbarium Domaine de Vassal Montpellier identified. The variety is of the nursery Domaine Grisard (Savoy) cultivated.
