Montagne

Next Lussac. Puisseguin and Saint-Georges one of the four communities outside the appellation Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux) just north of the river Barbanne. These four may also give their name on the label, in this case Montagne-Saint-Émilion . The vineyards cover about 1,600 hectares of vineyards, which are distributed to the municipalities of Montagne, Parsac and also those of Saint-Georges (this may also use the name Montagne-Saint-Émilion). The red wines are dominantly blended from Merlot, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pressac (Cot) and are similar to those from Saint-Émilion. The most famous wineries are Château Calon, Château Faizeau, Château Maison-Blanche, Château Montaiguillon, Château Roudier, Château Rocher Corbin, Château Teyssier and Château des Tours.
