The estate is located in the municipality of Laubenheim in the German wine-growing region Near
, It was founded by Rudolf Montigny in the 1960s. It has been run by his son Sacha Montigny since 1994. The vineyards cover six hectares of vineyards capable of Carthusian
(Laubenheim). They are planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, St. Laurent, Dunkelfelder and Frühburgunder, as well as the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc and Kerner. The white wines are fermented cool in stainless steel. After the maceration, the red wines are partly aged in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines (from Riesling), sparkling wines and yeast brandies are also produced.
