The estate is located in the municipality of Sarrians in the department Vaucluse
in the southern section of the Rhone
in the southeast of France. It was founded in 1980 by Max Saurel. Already at this time was dispensed chemical fertilizer. The grapes were delivered to a cooperative. Son Eric and his wife Christine started switching to Biodynamic viticulture
in compliance with the guidelines for management, fertilization
and pest control ( Bacillus thuringiensis
). After successful completion in 1999, the certification by the associations took place ECOCERT
(biological) and BIODYVIN (biodynamic). In 2001 it was started by commissioning a newly built cellar with its own wine production, the first year was 2002. The current name was formed from the first names of the three children MON (Manon) - TI (Justine) - RIUS (Marius). The vineyards cover 57 hectares, which are divided into 38 plots. They are planted with the red varieties Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Syrah, and the white varieties Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc. They are consistently with short pruning
cultivated, this being done individually per vine.
