It surrounds the DOCa area like a belt Priorato, These two areas are among the oldest and already in the Middle Ages one of the most important wine regions in Catalonia. Only a few of the producers become traditional oxidatively developedfortified wines (Vi Ranci) and mistelas generated. Well-known producers are Capafons-Ossó. Celler de Capçanes, Europvin falset, Mas Martinet, Terres de Codols i Llicorella and Venus la Universal.
