Morocanella

The white grape variety (also Morokanella) comes from Cyprus, The name derives from "cinnamon" for unknown reasons ( cinnamon ); "Moro" means "small". The variety was from the Cypriot oenologist Akis Zambartas rediscovered. There may be a relationship to the variety Canella, It is a pure female grape, It was widespread under the Ottoman occupation. It is grown in small quantities and used in blends. In 2010, however, no stock was reported (Kym Anderson ).
