The white grape variety (also Morokanella) comes from Cyprus, For unknown reasons, the name derives from "cinnamon" ( cinnamon ) from; 'Moro' means 'small'. The variety was created by the Cypriot oenologist Akis Zambartas rediscovered. There may be a relationship with the variety Canella, It is a pure female grape, It was widespread under the Ottoman occupation. It is grown in small quantities and used in blends.
