The red grape variety is a new cross between Muscat Fleur d'Oranger x Petit Bouschet. The parentage was confirmed by DNA analyses carried out in 2012 (however, on the basis of only 20 DNA markers; see Molecular genetics). Synonyms are Buse Muskotaly, Muskat Bouchet and Voeroes Buse. The cross was made in France in 1857 by the breeder Henri Bouschet. The variety was a crossing partner in the new varieties Bíborkadarka, Dunaj, Kurucvér and Magyarfrankos. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
