The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Siny Ranny (Madeleine Angevine x Muscat d'Hamburg) x Pierrelle. Synonyms are Muscat Odessky and Muscat Odesskii. Genes of Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrid was crossed by the breeder N. Y. Bosrisovskiy in Ukraine. The plant variety protection was granted in 1993. The early to medium maturing vine is resistant to frost. It yields white wines with a muscatel tone, which are used for the production of sparkling wines and fortified dessert wines. However, no stocks were recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
