The winery is located in the municipality Gamlitz-Grubtal in the Austrian wine region südsteiermark, The origin lies in the Dreisiebner & Muster winery founded in 1974. The partnership lasted 26 years. During this time, the basic building materials were created, eight hectares of vineyards were planted with vines, and a yard sale, including a wine bar, was set up as a marketing channel. In 2000 this company association ended for health reasons and the Muster family also took over the Dreisiebner shares. The once produced, seven classically developed wines by Dreisiebner & Muster are still produced. The new brand "Muster.Gamlitz" was founded in 2002. The company is run by Josef Muster, son Reinhard Muster is responsible for the cellar.

The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards. They are 90% with the white varieties Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Seedling 88 and Muscat, the rest are planted with Zweigelt. A natural, environmentally friendly management follows KIP rules, The fertilization takes place exclusively through the return of grape residues. The plant protection runs under the strictest control with beneficial products. The temperature-controlled fermentation takes place with the help of carefully selected parts yeasts or about spontaneous fermentation, This process takes three to ten weeks. The young wines mature and are stored on the lees depending on the grape ripeness and the desired wine style, between three weeks and 36 months. The differently developed young wines are cuvéed and filtered according to type.

The wines are produced in three lines. The "Classic" line includes youthful, fresh, aromatic wines aged in steel tanks. The “Reverenz” line includes wines with a vintage character and storage potential from selected grapes from the Mariengarten, Rieglbauer, Schusterleit'n and Sonnegg locations. The expansion takes place in steel tanks, large new and old wooden barrels and in barriques, depending on the vintage, the ripeness of the grapes and the type of wine desired. The premium line "Grubthal" includes wines from selected grapes without Botrytisanteil from a steep south-western slope at 280 to 320 meters above sea level with sandy, deep soil and a high proportion of shell limestone. These are aged in new barriques for 18 to 36 months. There are also bottle-fermented sparkling wines, fine brandies and in weather-appropriate years Eiswein produced.

A cultural event is organized once a year to which well-known artists from Austria are invited. Friends of the house include Erwin Steinhauer, Erika Pluhar, Dagmar Koller and Edi Luis with his jazz bandits.
