Term for the symbiosis (community) between mushrooms and the root system of higher plants (flowering plants). The fungus lives in the root bark and also penetrates the bark cells. This has positive effects for the host plant (including the vine) because it is better with phosphorus (Phosphate), nitrogen (in the form of nitrates and ammonium) and others nutrients supplied and the soil is better developed. Also a water stress can be coped with better. The mycorrhiza can be avoided by plowing and by greening be promoted. Mycorrhiza are also used as a remedy for the so-called vine fatigue used.
