Naranjocho

Spanish mixed drink made from orange lemonade and wine; see under Calimocho.

The name for an alcoholic mixed drink from Spain, which is mixed half with red wine and half with cola (Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola and other similar products). In some regions, a dash of blackberry or kiwi liqueur, lemon juice, vodka or rum is added. The name is probably derived from the Basque "kalimotxo", which has been distorted into "bald pussy" or "cold pussy" in German.

The etymological origin of the term "calimocho" is unclear. The drink became popular in the 1970s. In the Rioja region, the drink is also known as Rioja libre or Cuba libre del pobre...
