Neef-Emmich

The estate is located in the commune of Bermersheim (Wonnegau area) near Worms in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen, The company, which is run as a mixed agricultural enterprise with a focus on viticulture, is managed by Dirk Emmich. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vines in the individual layers rabbit run and rope garden (Bermersheim), dog head and Hammerstein Castle (Albig), Rodenstein Castle (Dalsheim), and Rotenstein (Westhofen). They are planted with the white varieties Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Siegerrebe, as well as with the red varieties St. Laurent, Portuguese, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. The red wines are aged in large wooden barrels, the white wines in steel tanks. Half of the production is bottled and the other is sold as barrel wine.
