Negoska

The red grape variety comes from Greece, Synonyms are Goumenissas Mavro, Mavro Goumenissas, Neghotska, Negkoska, Negoska Popolka, Negotska and Popolka Naoussis. The name may be derived from the Macedonian area / city Naoussa from where exactly it should come from. According to in 2007 DNA analysis has long been suspected of a close relationship with the variety Xinomavro not confirmed. The parentage is unknown.
