The red grape variety (also Folle Noire) comes from France, Despite seemingly indicative synonyms or morphological No similarities to the varieties Fuella Nera or Négrette (both synonymous with Folle Noire). According to in 2018 DNA analysis it comes from a presumably natural cross between Mauzac Blanc x Morrastel ( Graciano ). The variety was in earlier Southwest France grown. No stocks were shown in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
