The winery is located in the municipality of Eisenstadt in the Burgenland DAC area of Leithaberg (Austria). It is owned by Dipl. Ing. Johann Nehrer. The vineyards comprise 21 hectares of vineyards on the southern slope of the Leithagebirge in, for example, the Hummelbühel reed. They are planted to 60% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt (10 ha), Blaufränkisch (3 ha), Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and to 40% with the white wine varieties Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. In the vineyard we work according to the principles of KIP (controlled, integrated production) with, for example, minimal use of pesticides and targeted use of natural fertilizers. The white wines are traditionally matured reductively in stainless steel tanks, the red wines Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch in large oak barrels. All red wines and occasionally also the white wines Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc mature in barriques. Among the premium wines are the red wine cuvées Hummelbühel (Zweigelt, Merlot, Pinot Noir) and Leithaberg Red (Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt), as well as Sonnschein Leithaberg White (Chardonnay). Fine spirits (wine, marc) are also produced. The winery is a member of the two winegrowers' associations Leithaberg and Vinology.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
