The winery "Nepomukhof - family Graßl" is located in the municipality Göttlesbrunn
in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Carnuntum
, The name of the court is the saint Nepomuk
and refers to the foundation of a Nepomuk statue by the then village judge in 1740. The surviving part of this statue is on display in the courtyard. Approximately from this time comes an old vaulted cellar from the Turkish period, where today still stores a large part of the wines. The attachment of the family to the wine is reflected in the saying: "But where wine is lacking, the charm of life dies"
(Euripides 480-407 BC). The winery is run by Ing. Christian Graßl and his wife Maria.
The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards. They are planted with the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent, and the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Frühroter Veltliner and Yellow Muscat. Depending on the desired style, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large oak barrels or barriques. Premium wines are Grüner Veltliner selection, Rubin Carnuntum, Merlot, Cuvée Nepomuk (Zweigelt, Merlot, Blaufränkisch ) and Exor Zweigelt Reserve. Maria Graßl is with the winegrower association "Carnuntum Cats".
