Neret di Saint-Vincent

The red grape variety comes from Italy, Synonyms are Neiret, Neret, Neretto and Neyret. The first three are also common in many other independent grape varieties, so confusion is common (see under Neretto ). According to done in 2010 DNA analysis The strain comes from a presumably natural hybrid Mayolet x Roussin, Dr. José Vouillamoz came to a different conclusion in 2011, according to his analysis there is one Parent-offspring relationship between Neret di Saint-Vincent and Rouge du Pays,

Neret di Saint-Vincent (Neyret) - grape and leaf

The variety is in aosta Valley approved in the DOC wines Arnad-Montjovet, Donnas, Enfer d'Arvier and Torrette. It is mainly used as a blending partner to add color and alcohol. In 2010, under the name Neyret 41 hectares of vineyards were designated (Kym Anderson ).
