nero

Italian term for black, which occurs in many grape variety names. Either at the beginning like Nero, Nero Buono di Cori, Nero che Scroccheggia, Nero d'Avola, Nero della Vasca, Nero di Annarossa, Nero di Tonno, Nero Francese and Nero Grosso, or as an addition at the end of many red grape varieties. In terms of wine colour, this means dark coloured.
