Nero Buono di Cori

The red grape variety originates from Italy; the name means "The good black one of Cori". Synonyms are Nero Buono and Nero di Cori. The parentage is unknown. This medium to late ripening vine is grown almost exclusively in the province of Latina in the region of Lazio. It is permitted in the Cori and Castelli Romani DOC wines. In 2016, 58 hectares of vines were reported with a strong downward trend (Kym Anderson statistics).
