New Jersey

Federal state with the capital Trenton on the middle Atlantic east coast of the USA. A viticulture in this state is already documented for the year 1787. Central Delaware Valley, Outer Coastal Plain and Warren Hills are classified as AVA areas. The center of viticulture is around Egg Harbor in the valley of the Delaware River. Well known producers are Balic Winery, Bellview Winery, Cape May Winery & Vineyard, Lakewood Vineyards, Renault Winery, Slyvin Farms Winery, Tomasello Winery and Unionville Vineyards. A curiosity is that a transnational trade of goods within the USA with alcoholic beverages is prohibited. However, export to outside the USA is allowed.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
