The winery is located in the municipality of Baden-Baden in the German wine-growing region of Baden. It was founded in 2011 by oenologist Sven Nieger, initially as a sideline but now as a full-time business, who had previously gained practical experience in wineries in Germany, Austria and New Zealand. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Klosterbergfelsen (Varnhalt), Mauerberg (Neuweier) and Stich den Buben (Umweg). They are planted with Riesling (80% of the area) and Pinot Noir.
As honorary chairman of the Domäne Wachau, it is the easiest and quickest way for me to access the wein.plus encyclopaedia when I have questions. The certainty of receiving well-founded and up-to-date information here makes it an indispensable guide.
