The red variety comes from Greece, The parentage is unknown, related DNA analysis stand out (as of 2013). The very late ripening vine is generally well resistant to various vine diseases. It produces low-acid red wines with gentle tannins. The rare variety is exclusively in the area Kozáni in the west of the region Macedonia grown in old vineyards. There it is produced, for example, in dried grapes Liastos (Sweet wine) used.
