The estate is located in the Huapai Valley in the Auckland area (North Island) in New Zealand, It was founded in 1943 by Croatian-born Nikola Nobilo (1913-2007), who immigrated from the island of Korčula with his family. In 2001 it was owned by the Australian multinational Hardy, which in turn became the US giant shortly thereafter Constellation Brands was incorporated. The vineyards cover 66 hectares of own vineyards in the areas Gisborne. Hawke's Bay and Marlborough, Grapes are purchased from contract winemakers with a total of over 500 hectares. There are wineries in Drylands (Marlborough) and Huapai (West Auckland). The wines are made Cabernet Sauvignon. Chardonnay. Gewurztraminer. Müller-Thurgau. Pinotage and Sauvignon Blanc produced. Nobilo is best known for the slightly residual "White Cloud" (Müller-Thurgau, 15% Sauvignon Blanc and some Muscatel). The premium wines include the “Full Harvest”, “Grande Reserve” and “Icon” series. Over five million bottles of wine are produced every year.
