The white grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Nocchianello a Spiga di Granturco, Nocchianello Peloso a Spiga di Granturco and Nocchianello Peloso Spiga Grano. The parentage is unknown. Nothing is known about possible relations to the varieties Nocchianello Nero or Nocchianello Reale. Nocchianello Bianco is a parent of the variety Verdello di Bracciano.
