, The farm was founded by Rebbau inspector Ferdinand Mathier, whose family has been farming here since the 14th century. Nouveau Salquenen is today owned by founder grandson Adrian Mathier, whose three sons work in the company. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vineyards, of another 120 hectares of grapes are purchased by contract growers. All vineyards are built according to the principles of integrated production farmed. The large product range includes wines in the six lines La Tradition, Les Pyramides, Ligne de la famille Adrian Mathier, Les Ambassadeurs and Gemma.
The premium wines include the Dole
"Sang de l'Enfer" (Hell's Blood - after "Hell"), the Pinot Noir "Lucifer" (which is also bottled in Magnum, Jeroboam and Methuselah bottles), the "Ambassador of the Domain Adrian Mathier" ( Pinot Noir exclusively from the vineyard "Raspille"), the "Ambassadeur Fumé" (white wine from Gros Rhin = Silvaner matured in oak barrels), various cuvées from the traditional autochthonous Valais varieties, as well as Chardonnay varietal products, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
