The winery is located in the municipality of Wachenheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. It was acquired in the early 1990s by Thomas Hensel, who renovated the historic estate building. Andreas Schumann serves as the farm manager. The 20-hectare farm consists of half mixed forest and a quarter meadows and vineyards. The vineyards cover five hectares in the solely owned single vineyard Odinstal (Wachenheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Gewürztraminer. The vineyards are cultivated according to the guidelines of biodynamic viticulture. Through appropriate measures, the yield is reduced to a maximum of 50 hl/ha. Fermentation takes place with spontaneous yeasts. The flagship of the house is the Riesling Basalt, other top wines are Riesling Buntsandstein and Silvaner Muschelkalk. The heart of the production are the 350 N.N. wines named after the highest point of the estate.
