Winery (full name is Tokaj Oremus Szölöbirtok és Pincészet = Tokaj Oremus winery) in the Hungarian wine-growing area of Tokaj-Hegyalja with headquarters and winery in the municipality Tolcsva. It is owned by a European consortium, including the famous Spanish winery Vega Sicilia
is involved. The vineyards cover over 60 hectares of vineyards in the four villages Tarcal, Tokaj Máriássy, Sátoraljaújhely (Oremus location with 6 ha) and Tolcsva and are planted with 70% Furmint and 30% Hárslevelü. In addition, Aszú grapes from small winemakers are also purchased. According to legend, the court preacher Máté Szepsi-Laczkó produced the first Tokaj Aszú from the historical location of Oremus in 1650 (see in detail under Tokaj
). Therefore, the winery was named after. The winery is a member of the association "Tokaj Renaissance" and produces all the typical Tokaj wines.
