Tokaj Oremus Winery Szölöbirtok és Pincészet (Tokaj Oremus Winery) in the Hungarian wine region of Tokaj-Hegyalja with headquarters and winery in the municipality of Tolcsva. It is owned by a European consortium, which also includes the Spanish winery Vega Sicilia is involved. The vineyards cover over 60 hectares of vineyards in the four towns of Tarcal, Tokaj Máriássy, Sátoraljaújhely (Oremus site with 6 ha) and Tolcsva and are 70% Furmint and 30% Hárslevelü planted. As a supplement, Aszú grapes are also purchased by small winemakers. According to legend, the court preacher Máté Szepsi-Laczkó (1576-1633) became the first from the historical location of Oremus in 1630 Tokajer Aszú produced. That is why the winery was named after it. The winery is a member of the "Tokaj Renaissance" association and produces all the typical Tokaj wines.
