A term discussed in Germany, but not yet in wine law, as a possible replacement for the designation Großlage. In contrast to the term Großlage, which in the opinion of many experts is too imprecise, only wines from certain grape varieties as well as minimum values regarding alcohol content, acidity and residual sugar may be designated.
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
