DOC area (also Pornassio) for red and rosé wines in the Italian region of Liguria. The zone includes parts of the municipalities of Aquila di Arroscia, Armo, Borghetto d'Arroscia, Cesio, Cosio d'Arroscia, Mendatica, Molini di Triora, Montegrosso Pian Latte, Pieve di Teco, Pornassio Ranzo, Rezzo and Vessalico in the province of Imperia. All types of wine must contain at least 95% Ormaesco(Dolcetto), the rest can be other authorised non-aromatic varieties. There are the types Rosso (also called Superiore), Sciac-Trà (Rosato), Passito and Passito Liquoroso.
