The zone covers in its entirety the municipalities of Orta Nova and Ordona, and parts of the municipalities of Ascoli Satriano, Carapelle, Foggia and Manfredonia in the province of Foggia. The Rosso and Rosato types of wine are made from Sangiovese (at least 60%), as well as Uva di Troia(Nero di Troia), Montepulciano, Lambrusco Maestri and Trebbiano Toscano (the latter two maximum 10% each, together maximum 40%).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
