DOC area for white wine and red wine in the Italian region of Abruzzo. The zone includes the name-giving municipality Ortona in the province of Chieti. The Bianco is made from Trebbiano d'Abruzzo and/or Trebbiano Toscano (70%), as well as from other authorised grape varieties (max. 30%). The Rosso must contain at least 95% Montepulciano. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard.
