Synonymous (also Muskotály, Ottonel) for the grape variety Muscat Ottonel; look there.

The white grape comes from France. It was created in France in 1839 in Angers by Jean-Pierre Vibert (1777-1866) seedling selected and then approved by M. Robert for cultivation in 1852 (see also under Moreau-Robert ). It was named after a certain H. Ottonel, although the reason is unknown.
