Pago de Otazu

Special wine-growing area (also Pago de Señorio de Otazu) in the municipality of Echauri near Pamplona in the northern Spanish region Navarra, It was named the highest Spanish wine quality level in 2008 Vino de Pago classified. The vineyards cover 115 hectares of vineyards on stony clay soils with rocky ground. It will be the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon. Tempranillo and Merlot, such as Chardonnay grown. The area is fully owned by the Bodega Otazu winery of the same name.
