Palermo (grape variety)

There are two grape varieties named after the capital of Sicily:

Delago x Brilliant - USA

The white grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between Delago x Brilliant. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in the USA by Thomas Volney Munson (1843-1913). No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

Catarratto Bianco x Aglianico di Puglia - Italy

This white grape variety (also known as Pastena 1588) is a new cross between Catarratto Bianco x Aglianico di Puglia. The cross was made in Italy by Bruno Pastena. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
