parasitic wasps

The parasitic wasps count as parasites in viticulture to the beneficials in the fight against various pests. The species-rich family has very small to large specimens with different shapes wasps or resemble ants. The Ichneumonidae are referred to as "true parasitic wasps" (also "wasps") or "parasitic wasps in the narrower sense". The females can be recognized by their long laying drill, with which the eggs are laid on or in the host (also through hard wood). The larvae usually live as external or internal parasites in the host's larvae or pupa. There is usually only one generation a year, hibernation occurs as a female or adult larva.
