parasitic wasps

The parasitic wasps count as parasites in viticulture to the beneficials in the fight against various pests. From the species-rich family there are very small to large copies with different shape, the wasps or ants resemble. The Ichneumonidae are referred to as "true parasitic wasps" (also weevils) or "parasitic wasps in the narrower sense". The females can be recognized by their long laying drill, with which the eggs are laid on or into the host (also through hard wood). The larvae live as external or internal parasites usually in larvae or pupae of the host. Usually there is only one generation per year, the hibernation occurs as a female or Altlarve.
