Pazeid

Old wooden vessel used in South Tyrol or hollow for different liquids and also for wine. The origin of the name is unclear, it may be derived from the Latin "Baccinum" (basin) or "Batioca" (large drinking bowl) or from the northern Italian term "Bazia" (trough). The volume is 6 1/3 liters (4.5 gauge), but in Val Gardena this is a measure of 50 liters. See also below capacity measures and wine vessels,
