The red grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Camaralet Noir, Fenouille, Pedouille, Pelaouille, Pelouille, Penaouille, Petaouille, Petouille and Pique. It is a parent of the Mourtès variety and closely related to the Camaraou Noir variety. However, the parentage (parentage) is unknown. It used to be cultivated in south-western France, but is no longer important. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
