The white grape variety (breeding no. 71-20) is a new cross between Queen of the Vineyards x Jakaranda (Queen of the Vineyards x Csaba Gyöngye). The cross was made in South Africa in 1980 by the breeder E. P. Evans. The vine is used as a wine grape and table grape. No stock was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
As honorary chairman of the Domäne Wachau, it is the easiest and quickest way for me to access the wein.plus encyclopaedia when I have questions. The certainty of receiving well-founded and up-to-date information here makes it an indispensable guide.
