Peter Sölva & Sons

The winery is located in the municipality of Caldaro (location Caldaro village center) in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). The traditional company was founded in 1731 and has been family-owned for 14 generations. Today he is managed by Peter and Stephan Sölva, Christian Bellutti acts as cellar master. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards, which are planted with the red varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, as well as the white varieties Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. In the winery, it has always been an important goal to keep the origin and character of the soils and the handwriting of the family in the foreground during vinification.

The product range includes wines from the DOC range South Tyrol with the subareas Kalterersee and Terlaner, The wines are marketed in three different lines. These are under the old surname "AMISTAR" (Selection - handwriting of the family), "DE SILVA" (old vines - handwriting of the soil) and the "Classics of South Tyrol" from the indigenous varieties. 80,000 to 100,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Half of it stays in Italy and the other half goes to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the USA and Sweden. Grappas and brandies are also produced in the in-house distillery. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' association "Konsortium Südtiroler Wein", the "Weingut Südtirols" and "Wein Kaltern".
