The white grape variety originates from Greece. Synonyms are Petrolanos, Petrolianos and Petroylianos. The parentage (parentage) is unknown. The early to medium ripening vine is resistant to drought and downy mildew, but susceptible to powdery mildew. It yields full-bodied white wines with moderate acidity and intense aromas of lemons and peaches. It is grown in small quantities in the southern Peloponnese and in the region of Macedonia. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
