Peza

Appellation in the Heraklion district on the Greek island Crete near the capital Heraklion. Peza is one of the four POP areas the island; the boundaries to the west of it Archanes and Dafnes on. The vineyards must be more than 300 meters above sea level. The deep red wine is made from the autochthonous varieties Kotsifali (usually 75%) and Mandilaria blended.
