Pfannenstielhof

The estate is located on the valley floor on the eastern edge of the municipality of Bozen in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). The family business was first mentioned in 1561 and has been owned by the Pfeifer family for over 200 years. Today it is run by Johannes Pfeifer. The company's motto is "From farmer to connoisseur". The vineyards cover four hectares of vineyards planted with the red varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein and Pinot Noir. Environmentally friendly viticulture is practiced. The wines are aged according to the variety. There are different wines in the DOC areas St. Magdalener Classico (the flagship of the house is the Vernatsch) and South Tyrol (Lagrein, Lagrein Riserva, Pinot Noir). Around 40,000 bottles of wine are produced annually and exported to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands. The winery is a member of the St. Magdalena Consortium and Free wine growers in South Tyrol,
