The "Weingut Pfeffingen - Fuhrmann Eymael" in the municipality of Bad Dürkheim-Pfeffingen is located in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The Schnell family had been cultivating wine in the Palatinate since the mid-17th century. The Pfeffinger estate was acquired by Valentin Schnell in 1931. His son-in-law Karl Fuhrmann took over the business in 1952 and subsequently converted the formerly agricultural mixed enterprise completely to viticulture. His daughter Doris Eymael, one of the few women at the head of a German winery, has shared the management of the winery with her son Jan since 2002. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the Ungsteiner vineyards Herrenberg and Weilberg, They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (50%), Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Auxerrois and Chardonnay, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir and Cabernet Dorsa. A specialty of the house are dry to noble sweet wines from the Scheurebe. Around a third of the production is exported. The winery is a member of VDP (Association of German quality wine estates).
