Pfersigberg

One of the Alsace (Haut-Rhin) sites classified as Grand Cru within the Alsace Grand Cru appellation (also known as Pfersichberg or Pfirsigberg) The vineyards cover 75 hectares on calcareous sandstone soil in the communes of Eguisheim and Wettolsheim. They are mostly planted with Gewürztraminer, as well as Pinot Gris, Riesling and Muscat Blanc. Well-known producers are Charles Baur, Léon Beyer, Pierre Freudenreich, Paul Ginglinger, Alphonse Kuentz, Kuentz-Bas, André Scherer, Gérard Schueller, Bruno Sorg and Wolfberger.
