The winery is located in the municipality Poysdorf in the north of the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel, The origins of the family business go back to 1670. Bottling in batches started in 1942. Today the business is managed by Helmut and Monika Taubenschuss, actively supported by the sons Markus and Thomas. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Hermann haggling, Maxendorf, Steinbergen, Tenn and Weißer Berg. They are planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Grüner Sylvaner and Riesling. Quality criteria are a rigorous limitation of yield, as well as extremely careful processing of the grapes with the aim of characterful, regionally typical wines. Special care is taken to maintain the leading variety Grüner Veltliner. The premium wines include several Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner) with various vineyard names, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. Grape juice and bottle-fermented wine sparkling wines are also produced. The bottle label is adorned with a white dove.
